We had a fantastic time at Chateau De Savennes - Caveau De Sabrage. the hosts, Jacques and Robert, were absolutely delightful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. the breakfast spread was amazing, with a variety of delicious options made from locally sourced ingredients. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities in the bathrooms. We also enjoyed the communal dining experience, where we got to meet other guests from all over Europe. The overall experience of staying in a historical castle from the 1600s was truly unique and memorable. Cons: Nothing bad to say 😊.

The Chateau's decoration was absolutely charming, with beautiful antique furniture and lovely artwork hanging on the walls. The general areas of the hotel were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for senior people like me to move around comfortably. The hotel's accessibility was also great, with ramps and handrails in all the right places, ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay for seniors.
I would have preferred if the children working there were a bit more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

Guests can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast with home-made jams, local honey, and a variety of pastries. Additionally, the communal dining experience allows for meeting interesting people from all over Europe.

The suite had the most amazing views of the Puy de Sancy Mountains, it was like waking up in a dream! The large private bathroom with a walk-in shower was a nice touch, it made me feel like a VIP. The rustic furniture in the suite gave it a cozy and authentic feel, I loved the charm. Having a seating area in the suite was so convenient, I could relax and chat with friends. The infrared sauna in the bathroom was a luxurious bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the minimum 3-night stay requirement for this suite.
